I have lived in Boulder County for 50 years and together with my wife Amy and children have resided in Longmont for 24 years. Since 1999, I have been very engaged in the community serving on 15 boards and commissions as well as an elected official on City Council from 2009 to 2013. I care deeply about Longmont’s future, that is why I am seeking a return to council.   My extensive experience within the community spans the private, public and non-profit sectors, providing me with unique perspective when dealing with the variety of issues presented to council for consideration.

As current chair of the Downtown Development Authority I am proud of the improvements and changes that have been implemented to enhance the look and feel of downtown. The completion of the alley scape, owners renovating buildings while maintaining the historical look, new apartments, shops, restaurants have opened in downtown turning it into a destination.
As Executive Director of the Longmont Entrepreneurial Network an economic development non-profit organization I recruited 70 startups, mentoring them and connecting them with expert advisors to assist them in growing their companies leading to the creation of many jobs.Prior to leading LEN I had founded my own computer company in Longmont creating local jobs.

I have received numerous leadership awards, the one I am most proud of is the Tom Brock award “presented to and individual in the Longmont business community that has demonstrated outstanding leadership in continuing the Tom Brock legacy”.
